Charity marathon in support of the second mission of the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza + Doctors Without Borders.
All donation methods, in order of efficiency
1. REVOLUT (transfer via Revolut/UK
bank transfer/Apple Pay, 100% goes to the cause) – please specify "GSF"
or "MSF" in the payment reference.
Note: Bank transfers have occasionally caused issues in the
past with transfers from Italy, so it is preferable to use WISE with the SEPA
option for bank transfers in EURO from the European Union. The Revolut card
links to an external page that guides you through the payment. If you already
have Revolut on your phone, it will likely open your Revolut app. Note: I
have never tried using "Apple Pay" with Revolut, so I don’t know
whether there are fees or other charges.
2. WISE (bank
transfer, 100% goes to the cause) – please specify "GSF" or "MSF"
in the payment reference.
Best option for bank transfers in EUR. Important: use the SEPA option (and
never BIC/SWIFT) for bank transfers in EURO. Clicking the Wise card below
will take you to another page on this site with the bank details and all the
instructions (very simple).
3. PAYPAL
for Global Sumud Flotilla / Doctors Without Borders (easy but high
service fees)*
* Donations via PayPal incur a fixed fee of £0.30 or €0.35, plus a deduction
of approximately 1.5%-1.9% of the total (if paying from the UK) or 3%-3.5%
of the total (if paying in EURO from the European Union). The percentages
vary depending on the method/personal account used for payment, whether using
PayPal or other methods. For further information, consult PayPal’s resources.
For this reason, Revolut-to-Revolut and Wise are preferable methods, especially
for small amounts, where possible, but if it’s too much hassle, this option
is fine: after all, the proceeds will be doubled.
